The Medical Imaging Informatics and Teleradiology course addresses issues arising from the growing penetration of computers in medicine and the need to understand the new technologies necessary to acquire, process, store, and exchange medical images. This annual conference brings together experienced speakers to cover challenging topics in the field of medical imaging informatics and provides a unique opportunity to approach the experts and find answers to questions and issues.
This year’s conference will cover topics of interest involving the use of computers in medical imaging applications, and how computing can help improving our performances:
- Regional networks and image collaboration: the Chinese experience, comparison with the Canadian experience
- Update on standards and how they address new constraints in image and critical information delivery in radiology.
- Ontology and terminology, how can we improve reliability of our reports through structured reporting and data mining.
- How do we create better radiologists through technology and education, and the role for evidencebased methodology in radiology.
For its 8th edition, MIIT will take place Friday May 11th and Saturday May 12th, 2012 at the Novotel Toronto Centre, 45 The Esplanade, Toronto, ON.
This conference is intended for an audience of healthcare professionals: radiologists, physicians, technologists, PACS managers, DI managers, IT professionals, CIO/CTO’s, industry representatives.
